2011 Baxendale Awards open for nominations
The 2011 Philip Baxendale Awards have officially opened for nominations – and with five brand new categories there’s more opportunity than ever to recognise excellence and examplary achievement in employee ownership.
In a second important change this year, we’ve streamlined the nomination process to ensure it is as easy to complete as possible. Please visit the Awards page to find out more detail and to start nominating. The closing deadline for nominations is Monday 19 September 2011.
The scope of this year’s awards has been widened to acknowledge the growth, development and diversification of employee ownership in both the private and public sectors in 2011.
New categories include a dedicated award for new arrivals in the employee owned sector (the Rising Star Award), as well as a specific category to recognise the most inspiration group of employees to have spun out of the public sector into a new Employee-Led Mutual Organisations (the Public Sector ELMO Award).
Reflecting the hugely challenging fiscal environment we are all operating in, whether in the private or public sectors, we have introduced a Productivity and Performance Award to showcase the most dramatic and powerful example of an employee owned organisation driving up levels of productivity to deliver improved performance, and leading to exemplary outcomes in a particular field.
Finally, and significantly, we are presenting for the first time the Philip Baxendale Fellowship Award to celebrate the outstanding total contribution of a single individual to the cause of employee ownership, recognising a profound and enduring commitment to the sector. There will be more to this award than simply something to stick on the mantlepiece – watch our website for updates.
