Ewan Hall - Managing & Legal Director

Ewan is Baxendale Ownership's Managing Director and Legal Director and advises our clients on commercial and corporate projects.  He has been advising on employee ownership since 2003.   Ewan began as a corporate solicitor with the firm Wright Johnston & Mackenzie LLP, where he ultimately became a partner and head of the corporate group.  Ewan specialises in the creation of employee ownership vehicles and social enterprises, and in supporting employee owned organisations post-transition.

John Alexander - Director

John is a Chartered Accountant with an extensive background in practical business solutions. His expertise lies in the creative design of ownership structures and the creation of realistic funding packages for companies moving into employee ownership. He is also expert in aligning governance with business objectives so that the most effective structures are implemented. John has worked closely with a number of employee owned companies, pre and post business transfer, and has advised government departments and public services on the feasibility of implementing co-ownership into their organisations. John is responsible for our co-investment relationships and raising project finance.

Campbell McDonald - Director

Campbell joined Baxendale from Luther Pendragon where he led teams providing communications and public policy support to the John Lewis Partnership and the Employee Ownership Association. Other clients included Central Surrey Health, the Department of Health, local authorities and large charities. Before that, Campbell was at the Cabinet Office for five years (including a brief stint in the No10 Press Office), and left as Chief Press Officer and Press Secretary to Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP. Prior to government, Campbell was a journalist for three years. He has a BA in Politics from Durham University, an MA in Transnational Communications from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and a CIPR Post-Graduate Diploma.
